Volunteering

There are a variety of volunteering roles within our group, your skills will bring huge value and can fit to the time you can spare.

Volunteering in a Scout Group in a community like we have in the Surrey Hills is a great way to feed back and help it retain the community feel that we all love.

Section Volunteering

Volunteering to help our young people, whether it be Beavers, Cubs, or Scouts is immensely rewarding and importantly fun!

Volunteers need not have any prior Scouts experience, and training is available in many areas to boost your confidence.

Trustee and Other Roles

It takes a team to run a Scout Group, not just those working with our Young People. 
 
Trustee Boards make sure:

  • Scouts operates safely and legally

  • Volunteers have the resources to get things done

  • We’re planning and thinking for the long term

  • Money, risks, and buildings are managed well

  • Teams follow policies and legislation
